Lovel Tokic

Lovel Tokic was born in Split, Croatia and raised in Takoma Park, Maryland.

His interest in law began to develop during high school. A lifelong underdog at heart, Lovel knew he wanted to be a voice for the voiceless. After his first year of law school, Lovel clerked at the public defender’s office in Washington, DC, and fell in love with criminal defense. After his second year of law school, he clerked at the public defender’s office in Bethel, Alaska. Following his graduation from law school in 2015, he was offered a job with the public defender’s office in Boulder, Colorado. While at the public defender’s office, in addition to getting good outcomes for clients, Lovel was honored by the Boulder County Bar Association as the most outstanding young lawyer of the year. Lovel was proud to serve as a public defender for over 6 years, and he has been in Colorado ever since.
