Ryan Dawson is an Associate at the Savela Law Firm. His practice focuses on trial court level criminal defense having tried dozens of criminal cases to a jury. Mr. Dawson is a dedicated advocate of the jury trial system. In the summer of 2019, he attended the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College. While there he spent almost a month working all day with the best trial lawyers in the country to learn the most effective methods for showing juries his clients’ innocence.

Mr. Dawson has worked extensively with clients of non-citizen immigration status and has successfully litigated countless criminal cases in situations where immigration savvy resolutions were necessary. Prior to joining the Savela Law Firm, he worked with two other premier Colorado criminal defense firms where he refined his written litigation skills in both state and federal court.

His B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans where he participated in the criminal defense clinic and received the highest grade in his class. He is admitted to the Colorado bar. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, the Trial Lawyer’s College, and the National College for DUI Defense.
